Our Products
ONIONS
TJ Agricultura specialises in the cultivation of onions. Our onions come from our own traditional crops, which are subject to strict quality controls from the seed to treatment of the plant and conservation, which enables us not only to meet the quality standards required by regulations but also to offer an unbeatable product to our consumers. And thanks to our conservation facilities we can offer them throughout the year.
Years
Experience
TJ Agricultura is a family business that produces, transforms and markets agricultural products with over 30 years of experience in the sector. At the heart of our operations are the more than 4,000 hectares of prime farmland we own, allowing us to control the entire process from field to table.
Tons
Anual Production
TJ Agricultura currently produces around 30 million kilos of onions annually on 350 hectares of land, a figure that makes us one of the leading producers in Europe and a main supplier for distribution chains worldwide.
square meters
of Warehouses
We grow several varieties of onion to ensure that the product is available throughout the year. In addition, we package in nets, bags or boxes, according to the needs of our customers around the world.
We produce 100% of the onions we sell, allowing us to oversee the entire growing cycle and select the best end product.

OUR FARMS
Our crops are cultivated on over 4.000 hectares of our own land, which is located less than 20 km from our facilities, in the heart of La Mancha, between Cuenca and Albacete. This production area has been awarded the Spanish Protected Geographical Indication (IGP) “Cebolla de La Mancha” (“Onion of La Mancha”)
The unique combination of altitude, climate, and soil type in this area produces an onion with very specific characteristics, that distinguish it from others: a total dry mass of between 5% and 10%, a unit weight ranging from 165 to 1000 grams, a size between 50 and 120 mm, and a minimum sugar content of 35˚ Brix (±0.5%).
Furthermore, at TJ Agricultura, we practise crop rotation, leaving a gap of 5 years between onion crops grown on any given plot. The result is a higher quality product.
Quality
Our quality managers supervise the entire cultivation cycle, conduct laboratory analyses, control processes in the warehouses (storage, labelling, and packaging), monitor logistics, and evaluate the results. In addition, we adhere to the highest industry standards: Global G.A.P, GRASP, IFS Food, IGP ‘Cebolla de la Mancha’, and Sedex SMETA, Tesco NURTURE, LEAF.
CONSERVATION AND PROCESSING
At TJ Agricultura, we have successfully led the process of modernising crop production without losing sight of the legacy passed down to us through the generations: a deep respect and love for the countryside. Once our onions have been harvested and labelled, they are taken to our facilities, which encompass over 20000 m² of warehouses equipped with cutting-edge machinery to guarantee product freshness and availability throughout the year.
PACKAGING
We package our products right in our own facilities. For this, we have several types of packaging, depending on the client, target market and demand.
Step 1
The onions are collected in pallets and labelled with their harvest date and lot number. They are then taken to our warehouses for processing and preservation.
Step 2
Our team performs the initial sorting and segregation by size. During this phase, the product is inspected and any unsuitable items are removed.
Step 3
Next, the product is packaged. Here, a further quality control check is performed, and the weight, packaging, and labelling are verified.
CUSTOMERS
We export onions worldwide and rank among the top suppliers for distribution chains and markets globally.
LOGISTICS
We are strategically located less than two hours from both Madrid and the Port of Valencia. We also have our own fleet of trucks and collaborate with major national and international transport companies to ensure the best handling and delivery of our products, regardless of volume or destination.
